The free consultation is about 15 minutes. It's a real conversation, not a sales call, not an intake form read aloud. You'll share a little of what brought you here. Bob will ask a few questions to understand what you're navigating. You'll get a clear sense of how he thinks and whether this kind of conversation is what you're looking for.
There's no pitch at the end. If it seems like a good fit, Bob will tell you that and explain what the next step looks like. If it doesn't seem right for either of you, he'll say that too. The consultation is designed so that you walk away with a clear answer either way.
You'll cover:
- • What brought you here and what you're hoping to work on
- • How Bob works and what sessions typically look like
- • Confirmation that you're located in Colorado, where Bob is licensed
- • Current fees and scheduling availability
- • Any questions you have before deciding whether to move forward
Say what's actually going on
You don't need to arrive with a polished version of your situation. In fact, the less edited the better. Bob is used to hearing the messy, uncertain, "I'm not sure how to describe it" version of things. That's often the most accurate one.
If you've never talked to a counselor before, or if you have and it wasn't useful, or if you're not entirely sure what you're looking for, all of that is fine. The consultation is a place to figure out whether there's something here worth pursuing, not a performance to get right.
You'll also confirm that you're located in Colorado during the conversation. Bob is licensed there and only there, so that has to be settled before any sessions begin.
